The planned project will develop a new 3D printing process for stone and similar materials. This process is based on a chemical reaction between calcium hydroxide and carbon dioxide, which produces calcium carbonate. A special gas 3D printer will be designed and built to control this reaction for use in additive manufacturing. In a subsequent step, stone particles will be incorporated into the material to enhance its mechanical properties further.
