As part of the research project, I am investigating the oil transport mechanisms of female Macropis bees. These bees use specialized microstructures on their legs to efficiently collect and transport floral oils. The aim is to understand the underlying physical and chemical principles of these natural processes and to harness them for innovative technical applications.
