The Relation of Nature and Mind in Light of Hegel’s Anthropology
My project focusses on the relation between nature and mind, in light of the position of German Idealist philosopher G.W.F. Hegel. Hegel’s approach offers a valuable contribution also to current debates as it provides an alternative to both dualistic and one-sided reductionist (idealist or naturalist) positions. This investigation is intended to shed some light on human being’s relation to nature, especially in the present age of the Anthropocene, as discussed in Research Area D of livMatS.
