"Core" lecture series starts
Lectures once a month provide basic knowledge on core scientific aspects of the cluster
Diverse perspectives enrich research. This is also true for the livMatS cluster. In its four research areas, scientists from biomimetics, chemistry, materials science, microsystems technology, sustainability science, psychology and philosophy cooperate. To facilitate collaboration between the research areas, a new lecture series is starting at livMatS: "Core" aims to provide early career researchers with basic knowledge about core aspects of research in these different disciplines. The lectures will take place once a month during the semester, on Wednesdays starting at 4 pm.
The series starts with the lecture "...and there was light: The making of itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny structures by photolithography" by Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rühe. In the lecture, he will present basic concepts, laboratory procedures and industrial processes of photolithography. On June 14, the series will continue with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Chris Eberl and Dr. Viacheslav Slesarenko on the topic of metamaterials.
The latest dates and information on the lecture series will be announced in the events calendar on the website.
