Boot camp

Once a year, all the early career researchers from the cluster’s diverse range of disciplines attend talks and impulse workshops.

The topics span from good scientific practice to diversity in science to communicating science across disciplines. The boot camp aims to broaden the horizon of livMatS young scientists and promote exchange among the numerous disciplines working in the cluster.


The second generation of early career researchers in livMatS (circa 40 new PhD students and post docs) attended the 2024 boot camp. The two-day event focused on using AI to make science more efficient as well as a slate of durable skills topics.
