Energy autonomy concepts - From photobatteries and photoactuators to on-board photoelectrochemical H2O2 production
I am currently working in a short-term booster project which aims to develop efficient aqueous Zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) for use in photo batteries that integrate solar energy harvesting and storage in a single device. Rechargeable AZIBs are considered as alternative stationary storage systems due to their acceptable energy densities, high power densities, high safety and low cost compared to classical Lithium-ion batteries. My work involves developing and optimizing the anode and cathode materials for these AZIBs in order to improve the overall performance of the battery in terms of capacity, power density and longevity.
