Frequency-tunable triboelectric generators
In this project, I design and demonstrate a frequency-tunable energy harvester capable of generating usable power from ambient vibrations, such as the complex rattling of an engine body. The primary objective is to develop a robust TENG device architecture that can be dynamically tuned to resonate with the vibration source, maximizing output. Additionally, the device should seamlessly integrate into various materials. This research involves the design and optimization of mechanical structures and triboactive layers, as well as implementing cost-effective manufacturing practices. These elements are synergistically integrated to generate energy efficiently. Such devices hold significant relevance in applications like remote weather monitoring sensors, particularly in areas with limited or intermittent grid connectivity.
