Gallisense - Giving materials the passive ability to sense
If a material is to be aware of its surrounding, it must be able to query information about its physico-mechanical state. The aim of my research is to develop a robust and scalable sensing approach that gives self-awareness to the material, i.e. state reporting and state switching. We will achieve this by developing innovative sensing methods that exploit the conductive properties of gallium droplets.
