Project
Inorganic and Organic SolStore
My research aims to develop reliable battery systems for solar energy harvest and storage. It will investigate the lithium-ion, sodium-ion, zinc-ion, and sodium-sulfur battery systems for commercially available solar cells. These batteries will be designed to exhibit a large specific capacity and high capacity retention during their calendar life. They will later be integrated with corresponding photovoltaic devices. As the outcome of my project, these photo-batteries will provide a solution for energy-autonomous micro-devices such as ocean sensors or wildfire detectors.
